There is nothing better than finding an author who gives a common plotline a new and fresh voice and Mrs. I have to start by saying this author is new to me and I’m glad I went in blind because this book was a wonderful read. If you like a sexy but sweet rock star paired with an independent but loyal woman, this book is for you. I had a feeling we were going to meet Josie's only family too, but the the way it happened was not what was I was expecting at all. I love Dalton's dedication and compassion to the people he loves, even attempting to make things right with his no-good father. Now that I got that out of the way, I sped through this book like a pro jet skier out on the water. One look was all it took, so I suppose it just validates the 'love at first sight' type of intense feelings that are portrayed throughout the rest of the book. I normally don't mind it, but this just happened way too quick, especially for Josie who was dead set against any dealings with a man. I have to say, one thing that bugged me was the insta love. In one sense, they are completely different when it comes to intimate contact, but one thing they can agree on, neither is looking for a relationship. Joselyn has been burnt by love and is more focused on her job now.

"Together, we make a beautiful song, one that I never want to forget."ĭalton is a famous rock star, who's accustomed to having a different girl every night. It just happens, and once it’s in motion, it’s impossible to stop. It was his to have, to hold, to break, and to mend. He held the key to everything, including my heart. In the end, Dalton was so much more than just a means to an end. I didn’t intend for something forced to turn into something real. We were never meant to be what we became. So, I made a choice to get close to him, even when I shouldn’t have. She made me question whether what we had was based on truth or a lie.ĭalton was an obstacle in the way of what I’d always shied away from, and the only way to reach my end was through him. The life I envisioned for us was blurred by secrets, hard to overcome. I fell heart over mind, allowing her to take the only thing that I could call my own. Love can twist and turn you into someone unrecognizable. It’s kind & beautiful, soft & hard, forgiving & emotional, but love can also be blind.
