If I bind the era before this, it will go there. DC Comics Presents #43 is a teamup written by Levitz that goes near the beginning of this run, but I have opted to skip it for now. Annual #3 is moved to its proper place in the next volume. If I were binding the originals, this would likely get split up into two volumes. This allowed for a thinner book with better paper. I used the Great Darkness Saga and The Curse TPBs published in 2014, only having to insert the DCP and Tales issues. Paul Levitz always managed to guide us into the promise of Legion, the idea of its wrestling with ideals. Unlike it’s counterpart in the New Teen Titans franchise, Tales of the LOSH stories took place concurrently with the relaunched Baxter series (so named due to the type of paper it was printed on.) Do not be confused by the last page of #325, which was a glorified ad to hype up the beginning of the reprints coming in the following issue. Tales ran new stories for a year before it started reprinted volume 3. In 1984, that series became Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes, as Legion of Super-Heroes (volume three) was launched. This run, which is the second and more famous run by Paul Levitz, started in Legion of Super-Heroes (volume two), which is the series that continued from Superboy and Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes. If I go any farther back, I will use the Archives, and continue from there. Perhaps the most beloved era of the long-running series Legion of Super-Heroes was Paul Levitz run mostly with Keith Giffen and Greg LaRocque in the 1980s.
